On behalf of the Executive Council of the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male (ISSAM), I am pleased to welcome you to the online webcast of selected presentations from the 5th World Congress on the Aging Male. We are particularly delighted to be able to broadcast these for those, who were not able to attend our successful and constructive meeting in Salzburg on 9-12 February 2006.
ISSAM promotes gender specific healthy aging, prevention or drastic reduction of ill health and disability in the elderly, and a holistic approach to address these issues.
As we continue to expand our educational efforts, it is gratifying to see that ISSAM has already played a significant role in increasing public awareness and has stimulated basic, clinical, socio-economic, and epidemiological research within the soaring aging population. The impact of ISSAM’s work, as a relatively young society, was very evident at this congress, which demonstrated that interdisciplinary collaboration is possible, and that it can unite all the forces within this relatively new discipline.
Please register and enjoy the great wealth of educational information which is available on this website – and please take a moment while registering to tell us what topics you would like to see covered in the future.
